Govan Riverside

I was really chuffed this morning to be offered a new commission to work with Glasgow Housing Association to research and make new work in relation to the Govan community along the south of the Clyde and directly opposite the new Riverside Museum that is currently in construction.

The museum project effectively casts a spotlight on the other side of the river and makes visible a place that has not been in public view before. I am really interested to see how this new art project might explore that circumstance and, hopefully, use it to the advantage of the people that live there.

This project has been developed through artist Peter McCaughey long-term commission to work with Glasgow Housing Association - Peter is working in partnership with arts consultant Ben Spencer on the overall project to involve artists in the work of GHA.
