energetic materials

The studio is smelling of beeswax, manilla, oak and bronze today. I have been coating the rope whippings on the Main Water Seed sculpture for New Luce. This work is beginning to feel like a cake being prepared for the oven - the oven in this case being the outside environment that it will be installed in next week. All these materials are very reactive and with air, water and each other....I found a patch of deep verdigris blue/green where the green oak was in contact with the bronze today - very excited to see how this work will develop over time.
